Developed by VIVIUS | Kiosk Gand

The Gand kiosk is being created as a new meeting place for community, culture, and local amenities in the neighborhood. Developed in a participatory process with students and citizens, it combines multifunctionality with sustainable construction. This creates a flexible space that strengthens social life and serves as a model project for future-oriented neighborhood development.

The new Gand Kiosk will serve as a central hub for social interaction, local shopping, and community activities in Gand. VIVIUS and Class 3H of the “Peter Anich” Technical High School for Construction in Bolzano developed the winning design during the 2021–22 school year, which was subsequently reviewed for technical and economic feasibility by Pfeifer Partners in a feasibility study. In November 2022, the municipality secured funding—construction began in June 2025.

The concept is based on multifunctionality and temporary mixed use, allowing for a flexible response to residents’ needs. The project is accompanied by a transparent participatory process that involves citizens at an early stage, thereby enabling a community-driven implementation.
