Katmetal operates in the steel construction industry—a sector that is often viewed critically due to the high energy consumption involved in manufacturing. Nevertheless, the company has joined the VIVIUS innovation cluster and is actively working to reduce its environmental footprint. In addition to the technical aspects, the well-being of employees is also a top priority. A clear division of tasks, accountability on the part of the respective managers, and three clearly defined focus areas ensure transparency and stability in operations.

It is particularly worth noting that the succession was arranged well in advance: The future managing director was appointed about a year and a half before the planned transition to ensure a smooth handover and allow sufficient time for him to settle in.

The presentation of the company was complemented by a tour of the production and project management areas. This allowed the more than 40 participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company. The discussion that followed once again highlighted the network’s strength in sharing knowledge and learning from one another.
