Sustainability is also becoming an increasingly central issue in our industry—precisely because steel is an energy-intensive material with a corresponding carbon footprint. For us, it was clear: We want to take responsibility and actively seek ways to operate in a more resource-efficient manner. Our participation in VIVIUS offers us exactly this opportunity—to gain new perspectives, reevaluate existing processes, and develop innovative approaches together with others. Even though steel is a “heavy” material, with VIVIUS we want to make the path to a more sustainable future easier.
Strength lies in community. What is often difficult to achieve alone can be accomplished much more effectively as a network. Collaborating with other companies opens up new opportunities, speeds up processes, and brings fresh ideas to the business. For us, one thing is clear: Together, we not only go further, but also faster—and with greater impact.
We are constantly working to make our production processes more sustainable—for example, by specifically shortening transportation routes and using materials responsibly. In our procurement efforts as well, we are increasingly focused on working with suppliers who can demonstrate transparent and sustainable supply chains.
Whenever possible, we outsource processes that involve the use of chemicals—such as painting—to external partners who can carry them out in a more environmentally friendly manner. We also strive to reuse products from previous projects—especially in the area of renovation. In this way, we actively promote the material cycle and help conserve valuable resources.
