Schönthaler is a family-run construction and building materials company based in Eyrs that combines traditional concrete products with eco-friendly building materials and is particularly well-known for its hemp blocks made from hemp and lime, which are marketed as CO₂-sequestering, moisture-regulating, and vapor-permeable. The company operates its own plant for concrete and expanded clay blocks, precast slabs, piles, and custom precast components, as well as a building materials store offering insulation, plaster, roofing materials, and other system products.
